With the 2010 Sundance Film Festival winding down this weekend, I wanted to post a few photos I took capturing my favorite cold weather style.
Here’s Robert Redford, the founder of Sundance, in his cowboy boots at the opening day press conference. I love how his cowboy boots complement his Western shirt!

Next up is Julianne Moore (with co-star Mark Ruffalo) at the premiere of her new much-praised film The Kids Are All Right. Her black boots with wooden soles look so stylish with her black pants and fuzzy sweater/vest combo. I love how the outfit offsets Julianne Moore’s pale skin and bright red hair!

And finally, a group shot of lovely ladies in great boots! This is the entire cast of Please Give (Amanda Peet, Catherine Keener, Rebecca Hall, Sarah Steeleat, Director Nicole Holofcener, and Oliver Plattat) the film’s premiere. Amanda Peet, Rebecca Hall, and Catherine Keener were all sporting high black boots!

Seeing all of these actresses in great boots makes me want to go shopping! And, of course, Robert Redford has inspired me to buy a new pair of cowboy boots!

Attempting to discern all the layers that go to make up this look is, sadly, beyond me this early on a Sunday morning. But with a hint of the top of a stocking and the nude and black lace bustier, this is one look that epitomises the sexual confidence of the lingerie as outerwear women’s trend.

Alphonse Mucha’s lasting impact on the art world is pretty clear. It’s not hard to recognise his flowing-haired beauties with their swirling Art Nouveau backdrops, and they pop up often enough. Plaza Watch magazine were inspired by those very artworks, creating this shoot which stands out for model Barbara Meier’s stunning red hair, and for the integration of watches and jewellery into the images.

Hats off to Love magazine: they’re redefining what it is to market a fashion magazine. With the release of the third issue of the magazine only days away, their releasing of new teaser covers on such a regular basis is more akin to that of a cinematic release than something in print. It’s clear that a new breed of magazines has arrived. What’s not clear is what the ‘old faithfuls’ will do to compete.

Today we catch a glimpse of yet another preview; this time featuring model Amber Valletta in exactly the same post and, again, with exactly the same stark nudity.

As a soft take on the nudity trend, Emily Blake hits the pages of S Magazine in girly pastels, flower headbands, and some peek-a-boo hints of skin.

Tom Ford’s ad campaigns are generally outlandish, often controversial, and never short of attention-grabbing. His eyewear ad campaign for Spring / Summer 2010 features Carolyn Murphy (yet another model to jump on the nudity bandwagon) alongside actor Nicholas Hoult, who stars in Ford’s own directorial debut, A Single Man. Hard to believe that Hoult was once the nerdy kid in About A Boy, isn’t it?

Valentine’s Day is around the corner and I am thrilled! Not only am I a sucker for a day devoted to telling those close to you that you love them, but also my anniversary is a week later. February really is a month filled with love. One of our favorite designers, Tory Burch, teamed up with renowned artist Leanne Shapton to design an exclusive collection of items for Valentine’s Day. The collection is made up of cosmetic cases, totes and pajama sets.
The collaboration resulted in two prints, the watercolor Tory logo and the lips prints. Both are done in hues of red, perfectly suited for Valentine’s day. My pick goes to the lips print (I ordered the pajama set yesterday!) though the watercolor Tory print has a colorful whimsical touch.

The tote is perfect to use for multiple occasions. The body of the bag is canvas with leather trim. On the inside there are two interior pockets. The cosmetic case makes for a great gift as well! It is also canvas with leather trim and a cut out logo at the center.
Buy the totes via Tory Burch for $195 and cosmetic cases for $55.

The pajama sets I adore! I have always had an affinity to long arm and leg button up pj sets. All I want to do is wear my pajamas and sit in front of a fire with a mug of hot chocolate. AMAZING. The pajama sets are 100% cotton.
Buy via Tory Burch for $125.
