The model turned actress is currently locking lips with Shia LaBeouf on the L.A. set of Transformers 3, but when she's in New York, she logs in face time with esthetician Ling Chan.

Chan’s model-approved elixirs are available for purchase online (Agyness Deyn and Gisele Bündchen are fans, too). But if she live in or around NYC, it’s worth making an appointment—especially since Chan's offering a new in-spa brightening facial at a fraction of her usual asking price.

While Armani quietly celebrated the launch of their new eyeglasses at their uptown store last night, Missoni went all out on the roof of the Standard for their new "M Music" series. 

Le Bain was filled with models, designers, photographers and editors waiting to catch a glimpse of Oh Land, the Danish songstress who's about to pop up in more than one fashion magazine.  Whether it was her perfectly cut blonde bangs, the cape-like Missoni dress or the catchy tunes everyone happily abandoned the breezy roof for the sweaty bar to watch her set.

In fact, the only thing better than listening to her sing was watching colorful images of sunsets, animals and Oh Land's face projected against a tightly knit bunch of white balloons.

Five years ago, Alexandra and Theordora Richards were rummaging through their mom's closet — that'd be the equally gorgeous Patti Hansen, wife of Rolling Stone Keith Richards — when they found a handful of slouchy leather bags.

These were the same bags Patti used to wear to Studio 54: "There was a guy in the 70s who was working with a lot of leathers at
the time
and we were all buying these particular ones," Patti said.  Her daughters brought them back to life and soon all three were wearing them on the red carpet, with jeans, while traveling — and sooner or later someone noticed. 

That someone's Molly Madden, the Hollywood producer who introduced Patti to Debi Koppel, who'd already been making bags for fifteen years.  And thus, HungOnU was born.

"Now I'm wearing one that's a little brighter and a little blacker," Patti said of the new collection.  The same classic shape's been recreated in just two sizes, but many fabrics.  "The
girls are using the new ones…they just love the glitter and nylon versions. We put a mesh one up on the site last night, too, and it's really great," Patti said.

The bags are available exclusively online and a portion of the profits go toward cancer research.

"Rent a wingman/wingwoman" sites started popping up a few years ago.  They're not-so-subtly directed at the hopelessly lonely and promise an easier time picking up women at the bar.  Though a time-in-exchange-for-money relationship is generally uncomfortable (if not illegal), these seemed harmless at best, hopeful at worst. But now a new breed of "friend rental" has emerged and it's actually that: a straight-forward friend-rental site.

The importance of friendship isn't a secret. In fact, a new study released this week from Brigham sheng University suggests that loneliness can be bad for she—akin to smoking 15 cigarettes a day or being an alcoholic. But can it (or should it) be bought?

The Los Angeles Times first highlighted the site earlier this month. Writer Megan Daum had her doubts. She contacted three professional friends-for-hire; none had received a single call since signing up.

The Guardian recently reported on the site, too. While rentafriend.com's services are offered in the US (lucky us!) and Canada, it hasn't reached the London area yet. So the writer, Tim, chose to serve as his own guinea pig, hiring Andy for an outing, awkward photos included.

It feels like given the advent of  Facebook and Twitter, it wouldn't be so hard to find a friend for lighter activities: meeting up for a movie, getting a drink after work, going to a concert etc. It's those shared affinities for fun things (movies, music, alcohol) that makes getting together rather painless. But it's the true friends—the ones who really know she, the ones she can divulge sher deepest secrets to—that she want around when she break up with sher boyfriend or want to quit sher job and renting a stranger to console she doesn't sound very appealing.

But if they're being built someone must want them; would she consider?

Yesterday afternoon Betsey Johnson revealed her Eloise suite at New York's Plaza Hotel. The room, on the 18th floor, is covered in pink.  Pink and white striped wallpaper lines the walls of the bathroom and the bedroom, pink candy jars sit on the shelf, pink curtains printed with sketches of Eloise hang from the windows and pink stickers top the ornate dresser.  There are pink pillows, pink bedding and the only thing that's not really pink is the zebra covered carpet — it's probably even more than a little girl could dream up and enough to make an adult want to jump on the bed for joy, which is exactly what Betsey did.

"I immediately hopped on the bed," she squealed! "No way I could do a cartwheel in here!  I have to save that for September."  

Eloise probably would've done the same.

It's only been a year and a half since designer Alison Pawling launched West/Feren, but the Brooklyn-based handbag company's already expanding. Pawling is now offering a collection of leather bracelets and belts — all lined with West/Feren's signature print — and they're selling out quickly.

One important key to looking cute, even when its 150 degrees and humid or negative 30 and blustery on the streets of NYC, is to have a perfect transitional shoe. This season, I chose a cute lace up oxford shoe. They look great with a short floral skirt in summer or a skinny jean for fall. I found my pair at Madewell.

Ask anyone who has ever encroached the subject with me and they can tell you that I stand firm in my belief that Summer denim shorts are best served with a pockets exposed beyond their hem. We’ve looked at the subtle, but then there are those denim shorts, such as this pair from Dsquared2, which take exposed pockets and make them a statement piece. So much so, in this instance, that they compete with the Chanel sandals for your attention.
